WTA revealed updated 2020 Schedule after Covid-19

WTA declared the 2020 provisional schedule, it features 20 events such as the Shiseido WTA Finals Shenzhen.

After getting Government approval, the WTA declared a schedule for the WTA which will play this season. The Season will begin on 3 Agust 2020 with the event Palermo Ladies Open will be held in Italy after the five months suspension because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Schedule depends on various key factors, such as the ability to safely recommence the game according to instructions from medical experts, governmental approval of sporting events, and relaxed travel policy. With the collaboration of ATP, ITF, USTA, and FFT the WTA tactical plan and the preliminary tour schedule have been approved.

The WTA schedule consists of 20 events which will start in Palermo.On 21 August 2020, the Western & Southern Open will take place in Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City, on the same location as a week before the US Open will play on the original date 31st August 2020.

After that, the WTA tour will go through various nations in Europe and the Asia Pacific, such as the China Open in Beijing. After a few weeks the tournament lead to the Shiseido WTA final in Shenzhen on 9-15 November 2020

There are many WTA tournaments are unable to be held this season due to various situations brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
